Likewise, out of fourteen 8000 meters above peaks eight of them, including the highest peak in the world, Mount Everest lie in Nepal. Other seven are namely Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Annapurna. This trek to Everest Base Camp is probably the only trail in the world where so many mighty and magnificent Himalayas can been seen at such close proximity.

Mount Everest is also known by the Tibetan name Chomolangma (goddess mother of The Everest Base Camp Trek takes one to the foothills of the mightiest of the mountains in the world. Enroute, traverse through rhododendron and pine forests, rivers, Sherpa villages and Buddhist Monasteries from temperate to snow line regions. The Himalayas are best seen on this trek as one traces the main route through the Khumbu region from the Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar. Trekkers get a close view of the world's greatest mountains, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Tawache and others.

The cost stated below is Nett cost per person for a minimum of 2 people traveling together, based in US Dollars on twin sharing basis and valid till 31st December 2009.

The Cost includes :

• 3 Nights accommodation in Kathmandu (3 star hotel) on Bed & Breakfast Basis and inclusive of all taxes.
• Sightseeing in Kathmandu as per itinerary in a private deluxe non a/c vehicle accompanied by an professional English speaking guide.
• All monumental fees as applicable during the sightseeing tour All transfer to and from the Domestic Airport and hotel pre and post trek in a private deluxe non a/c vehicle accompanied by the trek Guide/Sirdar
• Airfare for the sector Katmandu / Lukla / Katmandu of US$ 242.00 per person with airport tax. (Subject to Change without prior notice)
• 13 Nights / 14 Days trek in the Everest / Khumbu region inclusive of the Sirdar/Escort/Guide will be assisted by Sherpas who will guide and assist the members on the trail. Food will be prepared by the cook at the Tea Houses from the menu upon discussion with the group's preference and the things that are available. The staff will be assisted by reliable porters hired locally to carry the luggage.

• Trekking Information Management System (TIMS) fee
• All expenses for the guide, his daily allowances including his meals and flight from Kathmandu / Lukla / Kathmandu .
